LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER (LGBT) SENIORS TASK FORCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following vacancy:

Vacant seat 4, new appointment, must be an LGBT senior, aging adult, or person with expertise or experience working on issues affecting LGBT seniors, for an indefinite term.

This appointment shall reflect the diversity of the LGBT seniors community, including race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, socio-economic status, disability (including HIV/AIDS status), and other relevant characteristics.

Reports: No later than 15 months after its first meeting, the Task Force shall create a written report and transmit that report to the Board of Supervisors. The report shall include action plans for implementation of recommendations, timelines for implementation, estimated costs, and potential funding sources, plus additional information to facilitate implementation.

Sunset Date: The LGBT Seniors Task Force shall terminate 18 months after the first meeting of the Task Force.

Next Steps: Applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing. Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment at the meeting and applicants may be asked to state their qualifications. The appointment of the individual who is recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
