BALBOA PARK STATION COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Replaces All Previous Notices

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following seat information and term expirations (in bold), appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

 

Seat 1, succeeding Tiffany Ng, term expiring February 28, 2019, must be held by a person who is a member of or an advocate for low-income or underserved communities in the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term ending February 28, 2021.

 

Seat 2, Nell Selander, term expiring February 28, 2020, must be held by a person who represents or is an advocate for families and young people, including youth ages 16 to 24, in the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 3, succeeding Bahlam Vigil, term expiring February 28, 2019, must be held by a student, faculty member or staff member at City College of San Francisco or another school served by Balboa Park Station, for the unexpired portion of a two-year term ending February 28, 2021.

 

Seat 4, succeeding Glenda Hope, term expiring February 28, 2018, must be held by a person who is senior or disabled or who advocates for senior or disabled communities in the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term ending February 28, 2020.

 

Seat 5, succeeding Robert Muehlbauer, term expiring February 28, 2019, must be held by a person who regularly rides public transit or who advocates for transit riders in the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term ending February 28, 2021.

 

Seat 6, succeeding Jason Chommanard, term expiring February 28, 2020, must be held by a person who advocates for the interests of pedestrians and bicyclists in the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 7, succeeding Aaron Goodman, term expiring February 28, 2019, must be held by a resident of the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term ending February 28, 2021.

 

 

Seat 8, succeeding Luis Licea, term expired February 28, 2018, must be held by a person who owns or works for a small business or who advocates for community and economic development in the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term ending February 29, 2020.

 

Seat 9, succeeding Jesse Fernandez, term expiring February 28, 2019, must be held by a representative of a nonprofit organization or community group that works on issues related to land use or housing in the neighborhoods served by Balboa Park Station, for a two-year term ending February 21, 2021.

Sunset Date:  The Committee is scheduled to sunset on February 28, 2019.

Next Steps:  Applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing.  Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment at the meeting and applicant(s) may be asked to state their qualifications.  The appointment of the individual who is recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
