1. Call to Order and Roll Call



The meeting was called to order at 5:06 pm. Commissioners present: Cardenas, Wu, Berliner; Commissioner Edelhart arrived at 5:45pm; Staff Present: Allen Lu

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)



Commissioner Wu, seconded by Commissioner Cardenas, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

3. Approval of Minutes (Action Item)

Commissioner Cardenas, seconded by Commissioner Berliner, moved to approve the minutes from December 9, 2014. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

4. Public Comment on Items not on Agenda (Discussion Only)



There was none.

5. Business (All Items to Follow Discussion and Possible Action)



A. Review outstanding questions regarding CPS referrals

Committee members were updated about an upcoming meeting with Captain Gracie regarding CPS referrals and prepared questions and next steps based on their three asks from their October meeting with the police Commission. There was no public comment.

B. Review SFPD-SFUSD MOU Implementation Process

Committee members reviewed a checklist of the MOU Implementation process and requested staff to follow up with Lt. Fatooh and Associate Superintendent Kevin Truitt for an update on specific questions. There was no public comment.

C. Review Dignity in Schools Strategic Planning Survey

Commissioner Berliner introduced the survey and asked that the committee help her fill it out. The committee worked together to complete the survey. There was no public comment.

D. Review other committee priorities

Commissioner Berliner updated the committee that Project What will join the next YJC meeting. The committee members also had a discussion about Supervisor Avalos’s resolution regarding police violence and Ferguson. There was no public comment.

6. Staff Report



Mr. Lu shared with the committee the next DSC call. He also solicited interest from commissioners who would be interested in reviewing a draft commendation, and all committee members were interested. There was no public comment.
