On behalf of the District 9 Office, we want to wish you and yours well this holiday season. In the spirit of community and giving, we want to encourage you to consider shopping and dining local as much as possible.Â
In partnership with the San Francisco Office of Small Business and the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) initiative, Shop Dine SF, we created our own District 9 Holiday Shopping Guide that includes a listing and information for 52 small businesses. We asked Bernal Business Alliance, Calle 24, Mission Merchant's Association, Valencia Corridor Merchant's Association, and the Portola Neighborhood Association to help us feature small businesses who sell gift items for the holidays. They reached out to their members, and those that chose to participate provided the information you'll find enclosed. We are excited that several newly permitted Street Vendors participated in this shopping guide and hope that you will check them out.Â
While we did not include bars and restaurants this time around, we plan to work with City agencies next year to create and keep updated a more complete local listing of all the small businesses in our District.
Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy what we have created and that you find some wonderful local products to gift to your family and friends this year.
